Cellist Melody Giron, has been performing internationally since the age of 13. She has performed in concert halls of China, Europe, South America, Central America and the United States. Giron is a Britten-Pears Young Artiste 2014 and has participated in the Penderecki Academy of Westfalen, Germany, Luslawice Academy Orchestra of Poland, and The International Holland Music Sessions, among many other major summer music festivals. Giron has worked with prominent artists and teachers such as the Takacs Quartet, Seth Knopp, Vivian Weilerstein, James Buswell, Yeesun Kim, and Lucy Chapman. Giron recently earned her Masters Degree from the Peabody Conservatory of Johns Hopkins University under the tutelage of Alan Stepansky in Baltimore, MD and completed her Bachelor’s Degree at the New England Conservatory of Music with Natasha Brofsky in Boston, MA.
