Domagoj Miskovic was born in Vukovar, Croatia on 28th of May, 1985. He showed a great enthusiasm for the guitar when he was eight years old. In the year 2000, after finishing music elementary school “Ivan Matetic Ronjgov” in Pula (Croatia), and after winning several first prizes on regional and national competitions while still fifteen he was accepted as youngest student in class of Eliot Fisk at the Mozarteum in Salzburg, Austria.
During studying with Eliot Fisk, Domagoj won several scholarships, among them scholarship from Liechtenstein royal family in 2000, International Mozarteum foundation scholarship in 2004 and several regional and state scholarships. While studying he collaborated with artists such as Joaquin Clerch, Ricardo Gallen, Marco Tamayo, Augustin Wiedemann and Sharon Isbin. He also studied jazz with Peter Arnesen and composition with composer Alexander Muellenbach. He performed solo as as well in chamber groups in Croatia, Austria, Germany and also in US (recitals in LA, Boston, Tucson and New York). He is interested in experimental, world, flamenco, and jazz music. Among his interdisciplinary projects are collaborations with Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance (SEAD), where he composed and improvised music for several performances.
In year 2005 he formed a jazz duet with violinist Mladen Marinovic who also studied violin at Mozarteum. The duet was under sponsorship from Yehudi Menuhin foundation. They performed extensively in Austria and Germany as well as in local jazz clubs in Salzburg. Domagoj Miskovic currently works as a guitar teacher in New York where he continues to pursue his career.
