Mind-and-spirit expanding discussions form an integral part of Boston GuitarFest 2009. To this end, seminars on Mexico and her many aspects will include socio-political currents, trends in art, and a roundtable discussion, adding a unique perspective to the concert experience.

Zaira Meneses: The Secret of the Sound

This is a special class for the young and the young at heart dealing with guitar fundamentals, music fundamentals and the importance of having fun producing a good sound on the guitar.

Roundtable

Focus on the future of the guitar with special emphasis on economic survival. Discussion to be chaired by Dr. Matthew Hinsley, president of the Austin Classical Guitar Society.
